My shop is a pottery painting studio but I have a lot of art experience and have always wanted to be an art teacher. We will do different projects every month - catering to different age groups.
All kids receive an “I am an Artist!” sticker when they come to homeschool art class!
This class is all about color theory - primary colors, secondary colors, color tints, and mixing colors - We will be making color wheels.
Objectives: Understand what colors are primary, what colors are secondary ( know how to mix & make those colors) and the older kids will be introduced to color tints!
You may drop your child off or stay with them - it is a 2 hour time frame for the class. This listing is for the class in different age ranges, if you need a different date for your age range just email me.
4-6: make a color wheel more basic color learning and mixing - painting a ceramic plate that they can then use! & one other project if time allows!
7-9: make a color wheel with mixing secondary colors together and learning how to make tints of colors (dk green, lt blue, pink, etc.) painting a ceramic plate that they can then use! & one other project if time allows!
10-13: Talk about the color wheel and all the colors - how to mix them and make tie dye shirts using the color wheel! Please include your childs shirt size!
The pottery pieces get fired in the kiln so they will have to be picked back up about a week later when they are ready!
